Sinead & Mark had a very cold and frosty day early in Jan. It was a challenge getting to Sinead's house, but we managed it ok. Her family are very friendly and made Nicky and I feel very welcome. The rest of the day went to plan. We have a great day capturing their wedding. Here are just a few of my favourite images from their day.

On a very cold wet and windy day in November we did a very lovely couple's wedding, dispite the weather, Nadine and Damien had a great day, we enjoyed ourselves alot and got some great shots - here's some of them ;-)

We attended a Wedding Fayre Sunday before last. We have a great time and were very busy. I was nice to see some familiar faces and some new ones. One face seem to stand out from the crowd and it was this one.

Yes Its Franc. I have to say I was very impressed, by his talk. He gave some great practical advice as well as some fashion tips. I was very pleased that one piece of advice he gave was to never cut corners with your wedding photography, always get the best photographer you can afford, and if it means cutting out some of the smaller 'like to haves' to get that photographer then do it. You see when your day has come and gone the only thing that will remain for years to come is your wedding album!

We're in Ireland's Wedding Journal!!!

Hi Everyone,

I hope life is treating you well. I just wanted to let you all know that we have had a recent wedding featured in the winter edition of one of Irelands top wedding Magazines, Ireland's(Northern Ireland's) Wedding Journal.

The wedding featured was that of Maria and Steven Connolly. We have a wonderful day with Maria and Steven. Nicky and I had a blast sharing the day with this lovely couple. They wanted something just that little bit different for their wedding images so I suggest the Mill, where we are based. Check out the magazine, the images and original and fun. They reflect Maria and Steven's personalities perfectly, and I think they reflect where I am coming from photographically too.

So I hope you all check them out and enjoy. I just want to say a big thanks to Mr and Mrs Connolly for choosing us for their wedding photography, We truly had a blast on their wedding day.

Yervant Seminar

I have just attended a fantastic seminar by Yervant and Anie; one of the World's top wedding photographers and his wonderful beautiful Wife. I like to attend seminars and training courses as often as I can, to keep the creative juices flowing and keep current. Part of the seminar involved an afternoon shooting on the streets of Dublin with Two beautiful Models.

Hi Everyone,

well it's been a while. Well we have been very busy over the last couple of months moving to our new studio. We haven't moved far, just a hundred feet or so. We are now in a really cool, Loft style studio space. Its pretty much sorted, but obviously there are always more things that can improve the space.

Well having started this blog with the full intention of posting at least once per month, I never realised that life would make it hard to do so. So I have to say sorry to anyone clicking on the link expecting to see more content.

Nicky and I have had a difficult second half to 2008. We have had some personal tragedy of recent and so some things have taken a bit of a back seat, the blog being one of them. Anyway we are slowly getting back on track and so we will be keeping this bang upto date.

The idea of this post is to keep everyone up to date with what we are doing here at FHI. To give you little stories about our lives and what happens day to day and even perhaps summaries of what has gone on at weddings etc. So look out for some cool images from recent work and some of the funny stories we happen upon.

I would like to talk all of our past and present clients for their continued support during 2008, and we do hope to see you all again very soon.

Well I am sure you want to know who is Forthill Images?

Well it is the Husband and Wife team of Connor and Nicky Maguire. We are based in the lovely County of Donegal where we have been living for about a year now. We have been a couple for about 10 years, but finally took the plunge and got married on 29th December 2006. So as it is still very fresh in our minds we can really understand our wedding clients, all their hopes and fears that planning a wedding bring.

Forthill Images has been established for 4 years now, though I (Connor) have been passionate about photography many many years. FHI was born out of the life changing decision to leave our Careers in England; where I had lived for 16years, and move back to my home place just outside Omagh, The 'Forthill' near Beragh.

I am a young (well I like to think so) 37 year old and Nicky is an even younger 32 year old, originally from the West Midlands in England.

Apart from running FHI with me, Nicky enjoys walking our dog Murphy and horse riding. My first love (after my wife off course) is of the two wheeled variety and way more than one horse power, I'm a motorbike fanatic. We also enjoy making the most of what beautiful Donegal has to offer. We enjoy trying to surf, and Hill Walking.

Welcome to our new Blog. It seems everyone these days has a blog, so I thought it was about time we got one too.
